How every piece gets packed, shipped, and insured on its way to you — and exactly what happens if something goes wrong along the way.
Last updated September 2026
Every piece is packed and shipped by hand from the studio, US addresses only. Shipping cost is calculated per piece based on its size and weight — you'll see it listed with each piece and again as a line item at checkout, with an expedited option available on some pieces if you'd rather not wait.
Pieces generally ship within 3–5 business days of purchase. If a piece needs a little longer — travel, a backlog, anything unusual — you'll hear about it directly rather than be left guessing.
Original art doesn't travel like a paperback. Prints ship flat or rolled with rigid protection and corner guards; glass pieces are individually wrapped, cushioned, and boxed with enough clearance to survive a rough handoff between trucks. Every piece is photographed before it's packed, which matters more than it sounds like it should — see below.
Yes — original art is insurable in transit, and every piece leaving this studio ships with shipping insurance covering its full sale price. That's not an add-on you need to ask for; it's simply part of how a piece gets shipped, the same way postage is.
In practice that means the piece is covered against loss or damage in transit through the carrier's own declared-value coverage, and the pre-packing photos exist specifically to back up a claim if one's ever needed. None of this changes anything on your end at checkout — it's just what's happening behind the scenes to make sure a shipping mishap is the studio's problem to sort out, not yours.
It's rare, but it happens, and here's exactly how it gets handled:
The insurance claim with the carrier happens on the studio's side afterward, using the photos you send and the pre-packing documentation — you're not left waiting on that process to be resolved before getting refunded.
Because every piece is one-of-a-kind original art, all sales are final once a piece ships — with the one exception above for damage in transit, or if what arrives is materially different from how it was listed. Take a close look at the photos and description before buying, and reach out through the Contact page first if you have any question about a piece — happy to answer before you buy rather than after.
Anything not covered here, or a shipment that just doesn't feel right — get in touch and it'll get sorted out directly.
