This page covers what jerryhartystudio.com collects and how it's used. It's meant to be read plainly, not skimmed past — if anything here is unclear, the Contact page reaches Jerry directly.

Information Collected

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, and message, sent when you use the form on the Contact page.
  • Blog subscriptions. Your email address, if you sign up on the Blog page to hear about new posts.
  • Blog questions. Your name (if you provide one) and your question, if you leave a comment on a blog post — these are shown publicly alongside the post once answered.
  • Purchases. Name, email, shipping address, and payment details when you buy a piece — collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. This site never sees or stores your card details; it only receives your name, email, and shipping address afterward, in order to know what sold and where to ship it.
  • Standard server logs. Like effectively every website, basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) is logged automatically by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
  • Site analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic patterns — things like which pages get visited, how people found the site, and roughly where visitors are located. This is aggregated traffic data, not used to build a profile of any individual visitor, and never used for advertising.

How It's Used

  • To respond to messages sent through the Contact page.
  • To fulfill and ship a purchase.
  • To send blog update emails, only to addresses that signed up for them.
  • To publish an answered blog question publicly, alongside the post it was asked on.

Information is never sold, and it's never used for anything beyond what it was collected for.

Who It's Shared With

A few outside services help run this site, and each only sees what it needs to do its specific job:

  • Stripe — processes payments and collects shipping addresses at checkout. Stripe is PCI-compliant; card details never pass through this site.
  • Web3Forms — delivers Contact form submissions and blog-question notifications by email.
  • Brevo — sends blog update emails to subscribers and manages the unsubscribe link included in every one.
  • Render — hosts this website and its server logs.
  • Google Fonts — this site's typefaces load from Google's servers, which means your browser makes a direct request to Google when a page loads (standard for any site using Google Fonts).
  • Google Analytics — collects the traffic and usage data described above.

Cookies & Tracking

This site doesn't run advertising trackers and doesn't set any cookies for ad-targeting purposes. It does use Google Analytics, which sets first-party cookies in your browser to measure traffic — for example, to tell a returning visitor from a new one. That data is never used to target ads to you, here or elsewhere.

Data Security

Messages and subscriber emails are stored on the site's server, behind a password-protected admin panel that only Jerry can access. Payment information is never handled or stored here at all — that's entirely Stripe's responsibility, as a PCI-compliant payment processor.

Your Choices

  • Every blog update email includes an unsubscribe link, handled automatically by Brevo.
  • To have a contact message or blog subscription deleted, just ask via the Contact page.

Children's Privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and personal information isn't knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This page may be updated as the site changes — the date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
